"Is my cake booked in after I complete the form on your website?"

Once you have submitted the form on the previous page, I will go through your request and email you with a quote. Please note that this is a quote only and does not mean that your order is locked in. You will not be booked in until I have sent you an invoice and you have paid your deposit.

"How does payment work?"

Once we have both agreed on everything for your cake order, I will send you an invoice outlining all of the details of your order, from the cake flavour to the delivery date. In terms of payment, I require a 20% deposit to be paid two weeks after this invoice has been sent, and the remaining balance is due two weeks before the event (but don't worry about trying to remember that, I will send you a friendly reminder email a few days before payment is due).


"I need to cancel my order. How do I do this?!"

I understand that stuff happens in life and sometimes a cancellation is required- and that is totally okay! If you are able to provide me with at least four weeks notice, I will be able to provide you a full refund of your 20% deposit. For any cancellations after this time, your deposit will not be refunded as there is a good chance that ingredients have already been purchased and parts of your cake have already been made. I thank you for your understanding on this!


"Can I make changes to my order?"

You are more than welcome to make changes to your cake order as long as you provide me with at least four weeks notice. While minor changes generally won't require any alterations to your payment, please note that any major changes (eg. size of cake, cake flavour, delivery address) may alter the final cost.

"What's the deal with returning hired cake toppers and cake stands?"

If you have chosen to hire a cake topper and/or cake stand from me, it will be your responsibility to return it to the MIGNONE cakes kitchen by no later than 5pm the day after your event, unless discussed otherwise. 

"How should I store my cake?"

If you receive your cake the day before it is going to be eaten, it is best to keep it in the fridge overnight. If you receive your cake on the day of the event, it is totally fine to leave it in a cool place until serving. Bringing your cake to room temperature before it is eaten is ideal as nobody likes stone hard buttercream!

"What should I do with leftover cake?"

If your cake outlasts the event (which I really hope it doesn't!) it can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container or plastic wrap for up to 3 days.

"Where is the MIGNONE cakes kitchen?"

The MIGNONE cakes kitchen is located in Templestowe, Melbourne (Victoria, AUS). 


"Do you cater for any allergies?"

Please note that gluten, nuts and dairy are used regularly in the MIGNONE cakes kitchen. While I do have endless food safety processes in place and I do my absolute best to minimise the risk of cross-contamination, there is no guarantee that any of the cakes produced here are 100% allergen friendly. If you have a serious allergy, unfortunately the only way to be 100% sure is to not consume my products- sorry!
